About Us

Forterus Treatment Centers provide substance use disorder treatment at two (2) locations in Southern California – Murrieta and San Diego. Each location specializes in comprehensive levels of care in different treatment settings. Both locations provide individualized addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment in nurturing atmospheres with experienced, caring staff members.

Forterus Murrieta for Men & Women

Murietta, CA is home to our addiction programs for adult men and women struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. This location consists of 14 licensed residential homes situated in the city’s elegant neighborhoods in addition to a central therapy center where groups, therapy sessions, and meetings are held. We provide a continuum of rehabilitation including the following levels of care:
– Residential Detox
– Residential Care
– Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
– Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Forterus San Diego – Men Only Treatment

Our San Diego location, commonly known as San Diego Addiction Treatment Center (SDATC), is a unique facility that specializes in structured comprehensive care for men. This facility provides a continuum of care that includes: Detox, Inpatient Rehabilitation (IR), Residential Treatment (RT), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). All clients reside and participate in therapy and counseling in the same building, where they learn to work as a team in an atmosphere of sharing, accountability, and recovery. The program emphasizes community integration and 12-Step meeting attendance and building a sober network in the community.

Clinical Team

Our qualified clinical staff has extensive experience in providing compassionate treatment and care for individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Forterus is very selective in choosing addiction professionals to provide services at our facilities. We choose only the most qualified licensed therapists, counselors, physicians, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, behavioral health technicians, nurses, and support staff to work with our clients.

AAC Leadership

The AAC leadership team brings exceptional addiction industry expertise to each treatment facility. In addition to maintaining a high standard of research-based programming, leadership comprises a deep bench of experience in managing treatment facilities operations and premier clinical staffing. Our Executive Management Team is based at our corporate office in Brentwood, Tennessee (outside of Nashville, Tennessee), and is represented by professionals with decades of experience in addiction treatment, behavioral healthcare, and healthcare facilities operation.

Julie is both a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Certified Addictions Counselor. She is responsible for all services provided at the Forterus San Diego location. Julie holds a B.S. from San Diego State University in Business Management and an M.S. from University of Phoenix in Marriage & Family Therapy.

Jenny has worked with Forterus since 2011 and currently is in charge of all program services delivered at the Murietta facility. She holds her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and an M.S. in Clinical Health Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.
